GLENS FALLS -- Joel Ryan Pellino, 33, passed away November 7, 2019 after a brief illness at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born on May 30, 1986, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Michael and the late Beth Pellino.
Joel lived in Fort Edward and went to Fort Edward School most of his childhood. He later graduated high school there. Joel even spent some time at Adirondack Community College.
He moved to Glens Falls with his now wife, Allison Pellino, and her two children in May of 2016. Together they married on April 14, 2018 at Saratoga Elks Lodge. It was then he lovingly became a stepfather to Aurora and Jazmyn Livingston.
Joel worked at BD of Queensbury along with his wife.
He was in several bands over the years, most recently a band called Sonic Ascent with fellow band-mates, Eric Rothstein and Kevin Kerr. He loved playing bass guitar and strumming at home, making new rifts when he had free time.
He enjoyed going out to dinners, especially sushi with his wife and stepchildren whom affectionately called him Steppy.
Joel is predeceased by his mother, Beth Pellino; his grandmother, Anne Pellino; his aunts, Jule Beecher and Sharon Nelson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Allison; her two children, Aurora and Jazmyn; his father, Michael and his companion, Debbie Fitzgerald; his grandfather, Lou Sr.; two uncles, Lou Pellino Jr. and his wife, Beth, and Jon with his wife, Linda; on his mother's side, his aunt, Susan Smith and her husband, Peter; three uncles, Peter Durrin and his companion, Sue Smith, Richard and Charlie; a ton of cousins, as well as, 2 dogs, Rufus and Cincinnati; and 3 cats, Figero, Apollo and Artemis.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Father Tom Babiuch officiating.
Burial will be private to the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked in the form of donations to cover funeral expenses sent to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
