Obituary

Hudson Falls, NY – John Thomas Graham passed away on April 1, 2026, at Glens Falls Hospital with loved ones at his side.

Born October 19, 1943, in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Ernest and Helen Graham.

John attended Argyle Central School, graduating in 1961. He went on to graduate from SUNY Adirondack in 1971.

His hobbies included reading his Bible, bird watching, gardening, family camp at Delta Lake and spending time with his grandchildren.

John married Damaris J. Dalaba on April 1, 1962, in Dillon, S. Carolina, spending 64 wonderful years together.

John was a local master carpenter who built houses, barns, wooden silos, milking parlors and churches, and built, repaired and renovated many homes. He worked in many of the surrounding counties and his buildings still stand straight and plumb today.

For over 20 years, John was on the Zoning Board of Appeals for Kingsbury, later becoming Chairman.

His greatest love was the Lord, whom he served from the time he devoted his life to Christ, and wanted others to know Him. John was a longtime member of Pine Knolls Alliance Church, serving in numerous roles including Elder, Sunday School teacher, Board member and project manager of various additions and other projects at Pine Knolls.

Delta Lake Bible Conference Center was a very important part of John’s life. He and his family spent many summers there, faithfully attending the Family Bible Camp and building memories that will forever shape their lives. Originally camping in old surplus army tents, they eventually purchased their own lovely cottage, which has now witnessed the love and laughter of five generations of their family. That cottage is now a large part of John’s legacy, a place where current and future generations will be able to spend time together, growing closer to each other and closer to the Lord.

John loved his wife, his family and others. In fact, you would know he liked you if he teased you or asked questions about your life. He had a “straight face” sense of humor that sometimes left a new person wondering what he meant exactly.

He was a gentle, loving man who made the world a better place.

John is survived by his wife, Damaris (Dee) Jean Graham; children, Tina Marie Graham, of Colorado Springs, CO, Kelly Lynn Levesque (Paul) of Dumont, NJ and John Thomas Graham II (Kathie) of Hudson Falls, NY; grandchildren, Caitlin (Jacob) Laird, Ethan (Randy) Robertson, Karalyn (Daniel) Guna, Samantha, Lauren and Justin Levesque, Sarah Sambrato, Rebekah (Alex) McCane and Rahshiem Graham; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Judah Laird, Ella Guna, Ariella and Julissa Sambrato, and Baby McCane; brother, Ralph Graham; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents; grandparents; and sister, Florence Myott.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Pine Knolls Alliance Church in S. Glens Falls, with a Funeral Service at 12:00pm. A burial will immediately follow at North Argyle Cemetery.
