Obituary

HUDSON FALLS --- Jack LaRock, age 76, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 21, 2015 following a long illness.

Born on May 11, 1939 in Brandon, Vermont, Jack was the youngest son of Harold and Mary (Rabtoy) LaRock.

Jack moved to New York from Vermont where he spent 45 years with his partner in life and best friend, Judy Fish.

Jack spent many years working as a self employed contractor. From roofing to siding, masonry to electrical; there was really nothing he couldn't do.

He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Jack also enjoyed playing guitar and tinkering with small machines in his garage. His greatest passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren teaching them everything he knew.

Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by his sisters, Doris LaRock and Ruth LaRock Mahoney, Ruth's husband George Mahoney, and his brother, Stuart LaRock.

Survivors besides the love of his life, Judy Fish, and his sister-in-law, Theresa Mcphee, include his children, Richard Clark, Andy Clark and his wife, Nancy, Jay Jennings and his wife,
Norma, Scott LaRock, Chris LaRock, Tina LaRock and her partner, Scott Rock, and Daniel LaRock. He is also survived by his loyal four legged buddy, Bear. Although too many to name individually, Jack also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who have each touched his life in a very special way.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mihindu and the awesome staff at the Renal Center in Glens Falls for all of your care, compassion and patience throughout Jack's illness. We would also like to thank Colleen Kamburelis and Alina Parker for the loving at home care they provided when the family most needed it. A very special thank you to Jack's youngest son Dan who remained steadfast and strong while providing constant love, support and care to Jack at the end of his life.

Donations in his name can be made to the Renal Center in Glens Falls, Shriners, The Albany Children's Hospital, or the SPCA.

At Jack's request there will be no services, instead to honor his memory, he would want you to grab a fishing pole, find your favorite fishing spot and enjoy your day.

Condolences may be mailed to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
