QUEENSBURY - John G. Wakefield, 58, died unexpectedly in his home on January 1, 2013. Born on March 14, 1954, in Albany, he was the son of the late Harold and Marie Wakefield of Loudonville. John graduated from Vincentian Institute in Albany in 1972. John is predeceased by his brother Brett Wakefield, and sisters Barbara Kinnaw and Carol Whalen. He is survived by his two children, son Joshua (Angela) Wakefield and daughter Heather (James) Gorman. He is also survived by his brothers David Wakefield and Craig Wakefield, and sister Patricia Leggiero, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7th, 2013 at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury, with The Rev. John Califano officiating.
