Joseph H. Barber, 65, previously of Shermantown Road, Glens Falls, and recently Elderwood Nursing Home in Ticonderoga, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Plattsburgh Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Glens Falls NY on February 12, 1960, he was the son of Howard F. Barber and Virginia (Hamblin) Barber.

Joe worked for the Town of Lake George out of high school, and spent many years driving cab for Tri County Cab in Glens Falls.

He enjoyed dining out at Chinese restaurants and was an avid gun enthusiast.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Hail Hall Jr and his sister, Christine (Hall) LaPlanche.

Survivors include his brothers, Anthony Hall, James Barber, Jerry Barber, and Jay Barber; aunts, Beatrice (Hamblin) Ward, Darlene (Hamblin) Frye; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At the family's request, there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Browns Cemetery on Tripoli Road in West Fort Ann, NY.
