Joseph G. LaFond 89, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Born February 27, 1936 in Chestertown, New York he was the son of Wenscelaus and Juliette LaFond.

From 1956 until 1959 Joseph served in the United States Navy.

Joseph worked as a log home builder for many years. He enjoyed building things and was very detailed in his work.

Joseph also enjoyed going to the casino. He was a devout catholic and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his daughter, Danielle Morgan; step daughter, Terry Potter Miller; and seven of his siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wilma LaFond; son, Gabe LaFond; stepdaughter, Kelly Potter; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Fran Hayden, and Monica LaFond.

A graveside ceremony with military honors will take place at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY at 11 a.m.
