QUEENSBURY -- Josephine "Josey" E. Hill, 90, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at The Stanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Olmstedville, Aug. 11, 1924, she was the daughter of Elmer and Minnie (Mary) Boulier Warrington.

Josey attended Minerva school. She loved to read and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Most of all Josey loved to bake; she had pans all shapes and sizes for weddings, birthdays, and all sorts of events. For many years, Josey was a wonderful cook at Westmount Health Facility from where she retired.

In 1941, Josey met a man by the name of Lowell F. Hill and fell in love. On April 11, 1943 they were united in marriage at The Church of The Messiah, Glens Falls and spent a wonderful 66 years together until his passing in 2010. For their 50th wedding anniversary their son, John and his wife, Paula, took them to Washington D.C. for Cherry Blossom Week where they had the best time; Josey loved the flowers.

In addition to her parents, Josey was predeceased by her loving husband, Lowell; four sisters, Clara Bellinger, Letha Warrington, Mildred Donahue, and Thelma O'Dell; two brothers, Horace and Richard Warrington; two sisters-in-law, Edna Pyle and Letha Hill; and three brothers-in-law, Walter, Percy, and Fred Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her five children: a daughter, Letha (Thomas) Kuehn, four sons, Michael Hill, John (Paula) Hill, Joseph (Kelley) Hill, and Christopher Hill; a sister-in-law, Stella Schenk; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 19 at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will immediately follow at noon, at the funeral home, with Deacon Bill Bazinet officiating.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Brant Lake Cemetery.
