TUCKAHOE --- , Josephine G. (Carapella) Liucci of Tuckahoe N.Y., passed peacefully on April 7, 2020 at the Home of The Good Shepard in Moreau, NY, surrounded by her son, Andy, & his wife, Susan, & the loving staff AKA "Her Best Friends" at Good Shepard.
Josephine was born to the late Joseph & Angelina (Signore) Carapella on November 15, 1930.
She lived in the Village of Tuckahoe for 84 years, she was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.
Josephine worked at Cornell's True Value and was a volunteer at Lawrence Hospital and The Tuckahoe Library, where she later joined the Memoir Club and would journal there. She was a Parishioner at Assumption Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society and PTA at Assumption School. She was so devoted to The Blessed Mother, with her Rosary always in hand. She was always loving & kind. The entire community loved her. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Liucci, and her dear son, Joseph.
She is survived by her son Bill (Dolores), Andrew (Susan), and her Daughter Barbara (Joe Luciano). She adored her grandchildren…Joey (Linda) & Jimmy (Kim) Luciano, Billy, Dorie, Lorna (Kyle), Alex, Sofia & Joseph Liucci; treasured her great-grandchildren, Jj, Rocco, Christina, Drew & Calvin; she is also survived by her brothers, Joe & Anthony Carapella; her sisters Anita Alonzi, Lisa Nardelli. Predeceased by her sister Corina Vaccaro and her brother Justin. She was a precious aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the pandemic, our mom's memorial mass will be held at a later date *will advise*. We know that your thoughts and prayers are with us at this time and we thank you!!! God Bless and keep you safe!!!
