QUEENSBURY- Joyce Ann (Burwash) Call, 79, of The Glen, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Westmount Health Facility, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Joyce, the daughter of Richard and Doris (Jackson) Burwash of Clifton Park, NY, was born in Troy, NY on June 24, 1935.
She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School, Class of 1953, and University at Albany, SUNY graduating with a Bachelor degree in 1957, and Masters degree in 1958.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond Henry Call, of Tomkins Cove, NY. Joyce and Ray settled in Suffern, NY to teach in the local school districts and to raise a family. Joyce loved family, reading, playing cards and especially her summer home on Hadlock Pond in the Adirondacks.
Joyce is also survived by her brother, Richard (Margaret) Burwash of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughter, Claudia (Robert) Castro of Coral Springs, Fla.; son, Eric (Lauren) Call of Guilderland, NY; granddaughters, Lily and Amelia Call, and Hannah and Paulina Castro; and grandson, Aren Castro.
Joyce was predeceased by son, Jeffrey Call of Albany, NY.
Joyce was a devoted wife, teacher, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury.
At her request, there will be no funeral services and burial will take place at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
