QUEENSBURY --- Joyce M. Hubbell, 87, passed away May 12, 2025.

Born April 25, 1938, in Lake George, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Madison) O'Dell.

Joyce graduated from Lake George High School in 1956. She married Richard Hubbell on November 23, 1957, at the Lake George United Methodist Church.

With her cosmetology license, she did hair for her family and friends. She also worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's business but most important to her was being a home maker and helping to care for her grandsons.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, camping, and most recently working on jigsaw puzzles and reading. She also enjoyed her time as the treasurer of the Mountainside Free Library.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Richard Hubbell; grandchildren, Michael and Matthew; and siblings, Gladys Prentice, Mildred Straight, and Bob O'Dell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Neal Hubbell (Holly Vaughn); grandchildren, Joshua (Ariannah Beldon), Kyle and Nathan Hubbell; great-grandchildren, Myla Mitchell Hubbell, Luke Mitchell, and Elliana Hubbell; sister, Joan (Ed) Norton; her best friend and companion, "her little dog," Abbey; also, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Patti Girard officiating.

A graveside ceremony will follow at Seeyle Cemetery, Ridge Rd., Queensbury.

A gathering will be held at her house immediately following the burial.
