GLENS FALLS – Julie A Nobert, 71, of Glens Falls, went into the arms of the Lord Sunday, August 24, 2014, after a brief illness.
Born April 6, 1943 in Glens Falls Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Louise (Tidmarsh) Nobert.
Julie loved to spend her time cooking.
She loved music and she loved to sing. Julie had starring roles in many Glens Falls Operetta Club productions back in the 1970's and 1980's.
In her earlier years she went to Las Vegas with a friend and was picked out of the crowd by The King, Elvis Presley, where she received a kiss. He said she looked like Liz Taylor - absolutely beautiful.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children: son, Robert P. Lohman of N.H., and daughter, Laurie E. Lohman of Queensbury; brother, Philip Nobert of Clifton Park; sister, Mary Lou Nelson of Queensbury; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family sends a special thanks to St. Johnsville Nursing Center staff for taking such good care of her.
At the family's request there are no calling hours or funeral service.
Burial will be held Tuesday, September 2, at 11a.m. at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Luzerne Rd., Queensbury, with Deacon Bill Bazinet officiating.
Condolences may be mailed to Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or e-mailed through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
