Ft. Edward - It is with joy for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of June Dunbar, who peacefully left us on Sunday July 26, 2026, following 93 years of wonderful memories.

Born to the late W. Perry and Christine M. (Wyant) Schenck, June spent her life dedicated to her family and her work. She was well known in the community for her entrepreneurial spirit, having owned, operated and taught classes at Busy D’s Ceramic shop in Clay and Cicero, NY for 18 years. She served as the manager at the south security checkpoint at the Syracuse International Airport for 14 years. She truly loved both of these professional endeavors.

June was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Dunbar; parents; sister, Joyce Frazier of Andover, ME; and brother, Walt Schenck of Cleveland, NY, as well as her longtime companion for many years, Richard Frawley.

She is lovingly survived by her three sons, Scott (Susan), Steven (Marie) and Mark (Melissa); grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Nicholas, Ayla, Zachary, Sarah, Matthew; great granddaughter, Althea; several step grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

She loved their special family get-togethers; reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo, bird watching and the many pets she had in her life. June spent her life as an animal lover.

There will be no calling hours, as the family will be having a private service.
