HUDSON FALLS – Karen D. Barr, 51, of Ferry St., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born June 16, 1965 in Glens Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late David Barr and Vera G. (Runnalls).

Karen was a NYS licensed Cosmetologist.

For many years she worked for C.R. Bard.

Karen enjoyed her pets, cooking, gardening, and traveling but above of all, it was her time spent with family she cherished most.

Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother, William Hayes.

Karen is survived by those who loved her most: the love of her life, Michael Bailey; her daughter, Erica Perkins of Queensbury; her three grandchildren, Desiree Thomas, Wyatt Perkins, and Isaiah Perkins; sister Kali M. Barr of Hudson Falls; two brothers, Wayne K. Hayes of Glens Falls and Jose Gonzalez of North Carolina; many aunts and uncles across the state including Rosie DuFour of Hudson Falls; nieces, nephews, and cousins including Victoria Tracy of South Glens Falls and Garrett Hayes of the U.S A.F. in Oklahoma; as well as her beloved pets, Lou -Lou the Cat and Gunther her Saint Bernard.

There will be no calling hours per the family's request.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
