HUDSON FALLS --- Kate E. Grygas, 39, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at home after battling with her health for many years.

Born November 2, 1984, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Michael E. and Lois D. (Trackey) Grygas.

Kate attended Glens Falls High School.

Kate was a certified nursing assistant for a few years at Eden Park in Glens Falls which is now known as The Pines. Kate instantly fell in love with helping others when she went to "bring your daughter to work day" with her mom Lois.

She enjoyed many things throughout her years. Kate loved raising her daughter more than anything. They would go to the park and Haliegh would feed the ducks and chase them around.

In Kate's younger years she enjoyed going fishing, camping, and swimming. Kate was always a very happy child. As she grew up, she still enjoyed water activities like swimming and kayaking. Most recently she enjoyed crafts, drawing, jewelry, clothes shopping, and most of all her favorite chocolate ice cream.

Kate was known to be stubborn and set in her ways, but she always had the biggest heart. She would help anyone in any way she could.

In addition to her maternal and paternal grandparents, Kate was predeceased by her "special" cat Muffin who had 7 toes on each paw.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Michael E. and Lois D. Grygas; boyfriend, Nick; daughter, Haliegh Grygas and her boyfriend, Jeff; brother, Michael J. Grygas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Aunt Tiania Trackey; and her parents' dog, Benji.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 3p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow directly after at 3:30p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
