Kathleen Susan Bosy (Duffy), 65, of Lake George, New York, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen was born on June 20th, 1960, at Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, New York. She graduated from Lake George High School in 1978 and later attended the Spencer School of Business. She built a life rooted in family, hard work, and community.
Early in her career, Kathleen worked at her father’s establishment, Duffy’s Tavern, before spending time living and working in Palm Springs, California. She later returned to Lake George, where she continued her family’s legacy as the owner of Duffy’s Liquors.
Kathleen married her husband, William “Bill” Bosy, and together they built a life and business ventures they shared proudly. The couple developed and continue to operate Hunters Run Apartments in Lake George, a testament to their partnership and hard work.
She also dedicated ten years of service as a school bus driver for Lake George Central School, a role she deeply cherished and often described as one of the most meaningful parts of her life. Kathleen loved the children she transported each day and took great pride in being part of their lives, even in small ways.
Above all, Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Bosy; her son, Hunter Bosy, and his wife, Jessica; and her cherished grandson, Hudson, who was truly the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Vicky (Dave) Cole; brothers, Kevin (Joanne) Duffy, and Michael (Linda) Duffy. In addition to her siblings, she leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who brought her great joy throughout her life. She was predeceased by her father, James T. Duffy; her mother, Beverly Duffy; and her stepmother, Joyce Duffy.
Kathleen was known for her witty personality, playful sense of humor, and her ability to make others laugh with her jokes and lighthearted spirit. She had a natural gift for bringing warmth and joy into any room and was often the heart of family gatherings and celebrations.
She was a lifelong animal lover and a strong advocate for animals of all kinds, caring deeply for her pets throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her cherished dogs, Abby and Lulu.
A devoted member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Lake George, Kathleen’s faith was an important part of her life.
