In addition to her career as a bookkeeper and account clerk, Kay was a sorority president (Beta Omicron), a St. Mary's cheerleader, a ballroom dancer, an avid golfer, a world traveler, a math whiz, and an extraordinary cook and baker. Her spaghetti sauce and meatballs were legendary among family, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents and her husband, her siblings, Daniel (Infant), John D. Halloran, Margaret H. Bergen, Mary E. and Pauline A. Halloran, Eileen H. Carney and Christina H. McCarthy, predeceased her.

Survivors include daughters, Kathleen M. (Philip), JoAnne M., and Christine Kvinlaug (Steve), three grandchildren, Sven Erik and Brit Christine Kvinlaug, and Samuel Joseph Tarantelli Stern, as well as many loving nieces and nephews who were an important part of her life.

The family is grateful to her caregivers Cyndi, Kathy and Tracey, the staff at High Peaks Hospice, the staff on the fourth floor of the Pines and to Linc and Justin for their compassion and kindness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, at St. Mary's Church, Warren St., Glens Falls.
