Kathryn "Kathy"
(Surprenant, Seeley) Bus
Apr 30, 1952 — Feb 22, 2025
Kathryn "Kathy" (Surprenant, Seeley) Bus, 72 of Queensbury, NY passed away peacefully Saturday February 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kathy was born April 30, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL to the late F. Rae (Bud) Surprenant Jr. and Norma Jean Sullivan.
As the eldest of eleven siblings, Kathy was always a nurturing presence, watching over her younger brothers and sisters throughout her life. She extended this nurturing trait to her four children and grandchildren whom she loved and protected deeply.
Kathy was an ear for all and if you ever needed to talk, she was there. She was always available to provide encouragement and support to anyone who needed it. Like her father, siblings, and children she loved being on Lake George and cherished the time spent there.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Norma; three brothers, Dave, Jim, and Jerry Surprenant; and grandson, Darrian Seeley.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Sarah) Seeley, Dave (Colleen) Seeley; two daughters, Kristen (Pronto), and Katelyn (Nate) Keith; her grandchildren, Kaylee (Christopher) Carlson, Gianna Seeley, Michael Seeley, Raelin Seeley, Oliver and Noelle Poppe; her brothers, John (Nancy) Surprenant, Rollie (Terri) Surprenant; her sisters, Lise Surprenant, Denise (Cliff) Roycewicz, Jean Howland, Sherry Masella and Susan Sullivan; her sister-in-law Susan Surprenant; nieces, Kimberly (Pat) Mora, Carli Surprenant, and Priscilla Saiz; and nephews, Evan Surprenant, David (Hope) Surprenant and Robert (Jessica) Surprenant.
The family would like to provide special thanks to all who supported Kathy over the past year and especially her close friend Mike Garvin, the nurses and staff at the C.R Wood Cancer Center, and the team from High Hospice.
At Kathy's request, there will be no services. The family will hold a celebration of Kathy's life at later date.
A memorial contribution in Kathy's name may be made to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, 100 Park Street, Glens Falls, New York 12801.
