WARRENSBURG --- Kayla Shambo, 22, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Born January 31, 2003 in Niskayuna, New York she was the daughter of Shaun M. Whitman and Jessica A. Layton.

Kayla attended Shaker High School.

On October 30, 2021, Kayla married the love of her life Cole M. Shambo in Warrensburg.

There were many things Kayla enjoyed doing including making epoxy items and crafts, listening to music, and going on random adventures.

Kayla was a loving homebody, mother, friend, and wife. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

In addition to her father, Shuan M. Whitman; Kayla was predeceased by her grandfather, Daniel Layton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cole M. Shambo of Warrensburg; children, Skylar, and Jacksene of Warrensburg; mother, Jessica A. Layton of Latham; sister, Zoey Whitman; brother, Jr. Whitman; in-laws, Gregory C. and Emma R. Shambo of Warrensburg.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.

A graveside ceremony will take place in the spring at North Caldwell Cemetery.
