GANSEVOORT --- Kevin Peter Shevlin, 64, passed away on June 19, 2017 at his home in Gansevoort.

Born January 12, 1953 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Owen P. Shevlin and Helen B. Shevlin.

Kevin attended Corinth Central School, and graduated from Kenmore East Sr. High in 1971. He also attended Adirondack Community College.

As a papermaker, Kevin worked at the International Paper Co. in Corinth and at Finch Pruyn in Glens Falls.

Kevin was a member of Overlook Beach Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, trips to Turning Stone and NASCAR. He was an animal lover and enjoyed history. Kevin was one to live his life on his terms. He was an avid Yankees fan and a summer resident at the Great Sacandaga Lake.

Those left to cherish his memory, along with his parents, are 2 children, Colin Shevlin and Catherine Shevlin; 6 siblings, Karen Shevlin, Owen P. Shevlin Jr., Deborah Carpenter, Donna Morgan, Susan Beard and Mark Shevlin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place Friday, June 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service, with a time to share fond memories, will follow.
