MOREAU --- Laurie Battis, 65, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Born August 31, 1959, in Bennington, Vermont, she was the daughter of Francis and Mabel (Vachon) MacJarrett.

In 1978 Laurie graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School. After high school she attended Marshall University.

Laurie worked for Washington County Social Services for thirty years.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, baking, shopping, but most of all spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Laurie was predeceased by her brother, Thomas MacJarrett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Logan Battis of Queensbury and Caleb Battis of South Glens Falls; her two grandchildren; and her brother, David MacJarrett.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the Glens Falls Hospital Oncology team. The level of care she received meant everything to the family.
