GLENS FALLS --- Laurie Ann Engle, 50, of Warren St., Glens Falls, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born May 17, 1962 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary J. (Morehouse) Meader.
Laurie worked for CWI in Queensbury.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family parties. Laurie also liked to go out bowling and socialize with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Mary Jane.
In addition to her parents, Laurie was predeceased by one brother, Fredrick Meader.
Survivors include her three children: Henry Smith, his wife, Madeline, and their daughter, Mary Jane, Jessica Plumley, and Justin Plumley; her companion, Mark; four brothers: Walter Meader, Leonard Meader, Billy (Theresa) Meader, and Arthur Meader (Ida Bonesteel); also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Friends may call upon the family Friday, Dec. 28 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.
A private graveside service will take place in the spring at Chester Rural Cemetery, Chestertown.
