Queensbury --- Laurie O'Dell, 62, of Queensbury, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Her passing was not related in any way to the current pandemic.

Born in Glens Falls on April 8, 1958 she was the daughter of Patrick and Doris V. (Hoag) Celeste.

She attended Glens Falls High School where she enjoyed cheerleading.

For many years Laurie was married to Terry O'Dell.

She worked at the Daily Double in Glens Falls as a bartender.

Some of her enjoyments included going to Saratoga Racino and spending time family, friends and her dog Buddy.

In addition to her parents, Laurie was predeceased by her sister, Christine Celeste.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry (Cara) Ross (Queensbury), Christopher (Kristin) Ross (Fort Edward), and Matthew Poulos (Hudson Falls); grandchildren, Tristian Ross (Queensbury), Chris Ross (Fort Edward), Brandon and Megan Reilly (Queensbury), Aleighia Pettit, and Cole Staunches (Fort Edward); great-grandchildren, Patricia and Robert Bain (Fort Edward), and Avery Pollock (Fort Edward); a brother, Patrick R. Celeste; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside ceremony will take place Wednesday, June 3, at 1 p.m., at Saint Mary's Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
