QUEENSBURY -- Lawrence Allen "Larry" Shaw, 72, of Queensbury passed away peacefully on December 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of 44 years. Also survived by three daughters, Tami Shaw Clark of Granville, Dana (Russell) White of Granville, and Theresa (Brian) Bagjsouire of Indiana; two sisters, Mary (Milford) Belden of Granville, Shirley Havens of Queensbury; and a brother, Robert Shaw of Florida. Larry was also loved by 10 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren (who affectionately called him their Gpa); and many nieces and nephews.

Larry loved his family and friends, he never met a person he didn't try to be friends with. He spent many weekends playing cards and board games with family and friends. He loved to spend mornings watching the birds from the windows while he enjoyed his coffee.

He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Katherine Shaw; two sons, Lawrence Allen and Allen Lawrence; three brothers, Donald of Glens Falls, Gilbert of Glens Falls, Herbert of Ohio; as well as three sisters, Dorothy of Hampton, Kathleen of Florida, and Katherine of Granville.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury, NY 12804.

After which there will be a celebration of Larry's life at Cedars for family and friends starting at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to his wife, Nancy, to assist with final expenses.
