QUEENSBURY --- Lawrence "Mike" Daniels, of Queensbury, NY, passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2025, at the age of 77, following a brief illness. Born on May 8th, 1947, and a lifelong resident of the Queensbury area, Mike attended Glens Falls City Schools.

A man of remarkable skill and dedication, Mike proudly built his own home, a testament to his strong work ethic and construction expertise. His love of construction was more than just a hobby; it was a craft he mastered. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was a relaxing day on the golf course, casting a line while fishing with his cousin Jimmy Holcomb, admiring the beauty and power of cars or watching his grandchildren play softball, a game he also played and loved. Mike worked as a driver/salesman for Fitzgerald Brothers Beverages, Inc. for over 30 years and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union #294. Mike retired from Fitzgerald Bros. in 2007.

Mike's adventurous spirit shone through in his love for travel, particularly his cherished trips to Cancun, Mexico with his late wife, Elva LaMere Daniels, who predeceased him. He also held a special fondness for visiting family in Quebec, creating lasting memories across borders.

Family was the cornerstone of Mike's life. He treasured spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Austin (Ashley) Daniels, Brittany (Kate) Gilligan, Camryn Sheehan, and Riley Sheehan, and his great-grandchildren, Ayden Daniels, Kendal Daniels, and Briggs Gilligan. He also enjoyed taking scenic road trips with his wife, Starla Daniels, and his loyal canine companion, Harley Davidson Daniels. Mike and Star loved to visit the Saratoga Raceway casino. The laughter and warmth of family cookouts were moments he held dear.

Mike was sadly predeceased by his first wife, Elva LaMere Daniels, his beloved spouse of 39 years; his mother, Irene Trackey Daniels; his father, Lawrence L. Daniels; and his sisters, Sharon Deyette and Joann Daniels Ferguson.

He is survived by his children, Michael R. (Christine) Daniels and Tammiesue (Michael) Sheehan; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his devoted wife, Starla Daniels; and many nieces and nephews.

A burial ceremony will be held at St. Alphonsus Cemetery at 52 Luzerne Rd, Queensbury on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mike's life immediately following the ceremony at 11 Bellows Circle, Queensbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mike's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital , a cause close to his heart.
