QUEENSBURY --- Leland Richards, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

He was born on January 22, 1932 in Glens Falls, New York.

Leland graduated from Warrensburg High School.

He retired from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country from 1952 to 1972.

Following his honorable discharge from the service, he went on to work at Albany Engineering, Pontiac Car Dealership as a parts manager, and J.C. Penney.

In Leland's free time he enjoyed bowling, roller-skating, playing cards, and going for drives.

In addition to his parents, Leland was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Derway) Richards; son, David Richards; and dog, Tiny.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kevin (Cinda) Richards; grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, James, and Eric; and 15 great-grandchildren, 10 boys and 5 girls.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The New York State Patriot Guard Riders will lead friends and family to the place of interment.

A graveside ceremony with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York 12871.
