Lester E.
Teagle
Dec 15, 1938 — Feb 25, 2026
Queensbury - Lester Elliott Teagle passed away peacefully on the morning of February 25, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born in Schenectady, New York, Lester was raised in Niskayuna, where he graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1958. A standout football player, and yo yo champion he carried his dedication and team spirit throughout his life. Following high school, Lester proudly served three years of active duty in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
After completing his service, he graduated from Albany Business College and began a 31-year career with General Electric in Schenectady. Following his retirement from GE at 56 years old. Lester continued to serve his community as a crossing guard for Niskayuna Central Schools for 20 years, a role he cherished.
Lester met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Piatak, while on a ski trip to Lake Placid with the 18 plus ski club. They danced at the legendary Mount Marcy Hotel, and from that moment on, their love story began. A true Jersey girl, Patricia, quickly relocated to New York, and six months later they were married. This year, they celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Lester is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patrica Ann Teagle. Together, they raised two beloved children, Stephen Elliott Teagle (Tina) and Christine Marie Teagle Silaika (Scott) of Queensbury, New York; three beautiful grandchildren, Ethan, Lauren, and Gavin, as well as several cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lester V. Teagle, Genevieve Elliott Teagle, and his sister, Janice Teagle.
Lester enjoyed playing golf, attending Union hockey games, and taking cherished trips to Florida with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Spending time and water skiing at his camp in Lake George. He was a devoted hockey and figure skating father and, in his younger years, avid downhill skier. Though a man of few words, his kindness and quiet strength radiated to all who knew him.
There is no doubt that Lester is now resting peacefully, reunited with the loved ones who passed before him.
A private burial with military honors will be held at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY
