QUEENSBURY--- Lillian P. Trombley, 88, a resident of Algonquin Drive, went home to the Lord Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, from Westmount Health Facility, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Glens Falls on June 15, 1925 to the late Edward and Lillian Comeau.
Lillian married Edward C. Trombley on Dec. 8, 1945 in Glens Falls, they were happily married for 61 years. He preceded her in death. Her brother Edward Comeau also preceded her in passing.
Lillian retired from Queensbury School District as head baker for the lunch program. She was known for her famous "school rolls" by her grandkids and great-grandkids. Lillian and Ed enjoyed many years with family and friends on beautiful Lake George. In their later years, they were avid "garage salers," and also enjoyed many winters together in Florida. Lillian was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed baking for the family, and was also a talented self-taught painter. She spent countless hours knitting for her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Her passion was always for her family.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Linda Ball (Ron), and her son, Gary Trombley (Linda). She is also survived by her grandson, Matthew Ball (Samantha), her granddaughters, Jennifer Brooks (Greg), and Hannah Trombley, her three great-grandchildren, Parker and Emerson Lillian Brooks, and Mason Ball.
At Lillian's request, services will be private for the family.
Burial will also be private at Bay St. Cemetery in Glens Falls.
The family would like to thank the staff at Westmount Health Facility for the loving care she was given. They are truly angels among us.
