Linda L. Stanton Erskine, 70, of Glens Falls, New York, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Linda always had a smile on her face, and she never met a stranger. She loved her church family at Queensbury Church of Christ, where she was a member for more than 30 years. Linda lived her life for the Lord, and over the years she was a daycare provider for many children in the area. She loved gardening, and most of all she loved studying her Bible.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Barry Erskine, daughters Karen Hardison (Jonathan) of Summerville, South Carolina, Kim Hubbard Wilson (Thomas) of Syracuse, New York, and Laurie Erskine of Greenwich, New York. Linda's beloved grandchildren were Morgan Hubbard, Daniel Hardison, Sam Wilson, Olivia Wilson, and Sofia Wilson. Linda is also survived by her two sisters, Pam Stanton McLane (Jimmy) of Salem, Virginia and Ruth Ann Stanton Perry (Joe) of Flowery Branch, Georgia, sisters-in-law Ann Bailey and Betty (Rodney) Willard, brothers-in-law Bob (Koren) Erskine and Bryan (Diane) Erskine, and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Raymond (Cy) Stanton and Ruth Stanton, and two brothers, David C. Stanton and Duane Stanton.

The family would like to thank Linda's most wonderful caregivers, Rebecca, Doreen, Kim, Sarah, and Tammy, who cared for Linda as though she were family. We are forever grateful to the love they showed Linda and the family. They were a blessing to all of us.

There will be a celebration of her life service at the Queensbury Church of Christ on August 30, 2014 at 11 a.m.
