Queensbury/North Creek, NY --- Linda (Bell) Tyrel, 80, born April 21, 1946, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving son and daughter-in-law.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Ivan & Patricia Bell Sr. and Barbara & Mario Gavita; her beloved husband of 37 years, David Tyrel; her grandson, Jon-Michael Bell; and her siblings, Ivan Bell Jr. and Carolyn Bromley.

She is survived by her loving son, Peter Bell and his wife, Dawn; her grandson, Robert Bell and his wife, Kelly; and the greatest joys of her life, her great-grandchildren, Lillian and Jacob Bell. She is also survived by her stepsons, Dan Tyrel and his wife, Kristin, and their children, Kathleen Rush and her husband, Joseph, Julia Tyrel, Clara Tyrel, and David Tyrel; and Eric Tyrel and his wife, Becky, and their children, Kayla Lin and her husband, Alex, Brandon Tyrel, and Makayla Tyrel, as well as their son, Asher.

Linda is also survived by her sister, Marie Groom and her husband, Wayne; brothers, David Bell and his wife, Nancy, Bill Brockway, Ed and his wife, Kathy Brockway; sister-in-law, Cindy Bell; brother-in-law, Larry and Pat Bromley, sister-in-law, Wanda Haynes along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Linda dedicated 35 years of service to Warren County at West Mountain Infirmary as a social worker. Following her retirement, she continued her work at Johnsburg Central School, where she spent several more years and became “Mom” and “Grandma” to more children than could ever be counted. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Linda’s wonderful neighbors—Sam, Sue, Barry, and Deb—for their unwavering support and presence. Special thanks are also extended to her Hospice team specifically Jackie, Patty, Renee, and Stacy—for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Linda and her family during her final journey.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pine View Cemetery 21 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY 12804.
