Obituary

WARRENSBURG | Beloved, cherished and adored mother and wife, Lorraine Yvette Baker, 66, of River Street, Warrensburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at Glens Falls Hospital, with her family by her side.

Lorraine leaves behind the most devoted care provider, Bernie W. Baker. This man, her loving husband, stuck by her side and provided the most amazing care, nonstop.

Born Jan. 19, 1949, in Glens Falls, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Leona Daus and Muriel (Lillibridge) Belanger.

After graduating high school, Lorraine became an antique dealer. She liked her time antiquing and attending auctions. Some of her other enjoyments were Bingo, reading, traveling and her faith.

In 1971, on April 17, Lorraine married her love, Bernie Baker, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Warrensburg. They cherished 44 years together.

Along with her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her sister, Joan Cameron.

She is survived by Bernie Baker, her beloved husband who took great care of Lorraine every day; her daughters, Yvette Baker and Scarlette Baker; her son, Bernie Baker Jr.; her grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Bernie and McKennah Baker; her siblings, including her sister, Mary (Charles) Johnson who always took time to visit; her brother-in-law, Douglas (Jane) Baker; her niece, Cathy Johnson; and cat,"Pogie Bear Baker"".

Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

Burial will immediately follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Warrensburg.

Donations may be sent to the family or funeral home to help with Lorraine's services.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to all the nurses who took care of mom, Moreau Emergency Squad, South Glens Falls Marathon Dance, Homeward Bound, special family friend, Angie Gokey Collaneri and our neighbor, Austin, for always looking out for dad.
