Cossayuna - Lorrie Lynn Rogers, 69, peacefully went to be with her lord on September 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of those whose lives she touched the most.

Born on the first of November 1956, Lorrie was the daughter of Franklin Byron VanEtten and Elanor Ethel VanEtten (Brookley). Left to cherish in her memory are her children, Bill Rogers, his wife, Melissa, Thomas Rogers and Angie Boone; 6 of her 7 siblings, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many other loved ones.

Lorrie was a longtime resident of Cossayuna, where she dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and family. Lorrie raised her children but her love never stopped there. She opened her heart and her home to children beyond her own and raised them in her Cossayuna home as well. On the property her and her husband built, you would often see Lorrie watching wildlife, picking berries or watching her rose bushes bloom.

One of Lorrie’s greatest pleasures was sipping coffee and watching birds out the kitchen window with her husband, Herbert Rogers who she was preceded in death by. Herbert was Lorrie’s entire life whom she lovingly carried for and stood beside throughout their life together. This year they will be reunited in heaven for their 50th anniversary on September 11th.

Lorrie was a quiet woman who kept to herself with many simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She loved reading a good Stephen King book, solving crossword puzzles, playing card games as well as bingo and completing sudoku books. She did not have a career outside of her home because caring for people she loved was her life’s work. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to making sure her family was cared for, loved and had a place to call home.

At her request, a memorial service will not take place as she had all the love and support she needed during her very wonderful time on earth.
