Lake Luzerne --- Louis W. Coppola, 79, of Howe Rd., passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, February 27, 2020 with his family by his side.
Born September 3, 1940 in Brooklyn, he was the son of George and Dorothy Coppola.
Some of his enjoyments included fishing, baseball, drawing, listening to music, and cars. He also enjoyed cooking, and spent years as a baker at Gambles Bakery in Queensbury. Louis was fondly referred to as "Mr. Fix It" by his family, who will deeply miss him being there with them.
In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his beloved wife, Josephine, and all four of his siblings, George, Jimmy, Tina, and Catherine.
Survivors include five children, Lenny (Jodi) Coppola of Lake Luzerne, George Coppola of Colorado, Michael Coppola, also of Colorado, AnnMarie Coppola of Brooklyn, and Joseph Schutta of Lake George; grandchildren, Anthony, Valerie, and Jonathan all of Lake Luzerne, Caylee of Colorado, Ryan and Jordan of Brooklyn, and Lenny and Matthew; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family, as well as his dogs, CeCe, Luna, and his cat Kitty.
Calling hours will take place Monday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A graveside ceremony will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family.
