QUEENSBURY --- Malcolm J "Mac" Bolton, 95, of passed away after a long illness on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 22, 1923 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Bernice R. and Lillian F. (Warner) Bolton.
Mac was a devoted husband to his wife, Simone, whom he met in 1942 and were later married on October 20, 1945, shortly before he was discharged from the Army. 50 years later they renewed their wedding vows and remained happily married for almost 72 years until her passing in August 2017. Soon following his discharge from the Army in 1946, he went to work for the Glens Falls Cement Company until 1985 when he retired.
In addition to his parents, Mac was predeceased by his wife, Simone; sister, Rita and brother-in-law, George Root; sister, Muriel and Bill Witherell; brother-in-law, Floyd Hartman; and daughter-in-law, Helen (Lashway) Bolton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, James R. Bolton of Queensbury; daughter, Teresa (Dennis) Leombruno of Fort Edward; grandchildren, James (Michelle) Bolton of Virginia, Jodi (Tim) Gowan of South Carolina, Kathy Bruno of Hudson Falls, Karen (Lee) Monahan of Hudson Falls, Michelle (Cameron) Monroe of Argyle, and Kimberly (JD Moore) Leombruno of Virginia; Sister-in-law, Anita Hartman, and brother-in-law, Roland (Ada) Crete; great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, James and Emilee Calvin, Ambrelee, Kevin Dean, Brian, Kristen, Mackenzie, Ethan, Gavin, Hunter, Adalynn, Hayden, Ashley, Steven, Madison, Jaxon, Savannah, Kody, Jared, Brianna, Kayla, Cameron, Riley Hudson; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the Deacon Bill Bazinet.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. at Pine View Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Lynn Keil, PA, Mary Grace, Dr. John Sawyer, Greg, Rob, and Patty from Warren County Public Health for their wonderful care given to dad during his illness allowing him to enjoy the comfort of his own home until passing.
