Marco A.
Plazola
Aug 28, 1977 — May 9, 2022
QUEENSBURY --- Marco Antonio Plazola, 44, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 9, 2022, after a long courageous battle against cancer.
Born August 28, 1977, in Los Angeles, California he was the son of Reynaldo and Maria DeJesus Villarreal Plazola.
Marco had an outstanding work ethic and worked as a New York State Licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator and a Production Manager at Grasshopper Gardens.
Marco loved his family the most. His grand daughters were the apples of his eye. Family gatherings such as BBQ's, sitting around the fire, playing corn hole, having a drink with the boys, or even traveling the country, to name a few. It was important to him to create memories, that included an annual family trip to Hampton Beach. That beach held his heart because Marco and Anita found it to be their happy place. Every ocean called his name, east coast or west.
His interests were diverse; he loved a good Toby Keith concert or an amazing Broadway musical. He had great pride in his Mexican heritage, which he shared through food and music. Many of Marco's admirable traits came from his parents. His love of food and great recipes came from his mom and his hard work ethic came from his dad. He loved attending the Rodeo because of the time he spent on his grandfather's ranch in Mexico. He had a hidden talent of playing the Saxophone. He and Anita enjoyed playing golf at the Hiland Golf course, where they met. His adventurous spirit will continue on throughout our lives.
Marco will be missed for his million-dollar smile and his infectious laugh.
Marco spent over thirteen wonderful years with his soulmate, Anita J. DeLisle.
Marco was predeceased by his grandfather, Francisco Villarreal; and siblings, Oscar Plazola, José Plazola, Beatriz Plazola.
Those left to cherish his memory are his soulmate, Anita DeLisle; children, Marco Plazola, Kyle (Lisa), Kelsey, Keith (Rylee), Esmeralda, and Jaasiel; parents, Reynaldo and Maria Plazola; grandchildren, Auden, Sawyer, and Quinn; grandparents, Maria Del Refugio Villarreal, Leocadio Plazola, and Juana Serafin; sisters, Blanca J., Veronica, Cassy, and Lisa; brothers, Louis and Brendon; mother-in-law, Joy Boutelle LaBrake; several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as his beloved pets, Rocky and Nike. Marco is also survived by a tremendously loved extended family; too numerous to list, but forever in his heart.
Calling hours will take place Friday, May 13, 2022, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Stappenbeck officiating.
A gathering will take place at Cassy's home after the funeral service.
