SOUTH GLENS FALLS---Margaret L. Hall, 75, of South Glens Falls, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was the daughter of the late Gladwin and Lucy ( Loveland ) Jackson.
She graduated from South Glens Falls School, Class of 1957, and worked for Decora in Ft. Edward, Hilton in Glens Falls and General Electric in Ft. Edward. She was a stay at home Mom and homemaker after leaving the career world. She loved caring for her children and taking care of her home. Some of her enjoyments included traveling, bowling, ceramics, and mostly singing country music. Her favorite singers being Ernest Tubb and Loretta Lynn. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, the Pillsbury Dough Boy, and Ladybugs were very special to her. Above all, raising her children was her greatest joy.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by one grandson, Dustin T. Hall, and one brother, Jerry Jackson.
Survivors include her companion, Forrest Lilly of Ft. Edward; the Father of her four children, Jack Hall of Bolton Landing; her children, John Hall Jr. (Michelle Bennett) of Hudson Falls, Ty Hall (fiancée, Vicki Shufelt) of South Glens Falls, Karen Hall (Richard Stockwell) of Queensbury, and Jackie Clark of Glens Falls; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Eldridge, Corey Hall, Devin Hall, Amberly Hall, Dane Hall, Austyn Hall, Travis Marlow, Ethan Marlow, Owen Marlow, Mataya Clark, and Colin Clark; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Jackson and Gladwin Jackson Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Calling hours will held Monday, Dec. 30 from noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street , Queensbury.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeffrey Stratton, Pastor of United Methodist Church of South Glens Falls, officiating.
Friends are invited to join the family for a gathering to celebrate Margaret's life, following the funeral, at her son Ty's home, 19 Jacobie Rd., South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
Burial will take place in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Edward.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Saratoga Hospice, and especially her personal aides, Penny, Shelby, and Amanda.
