Queensbury
Queensbury - Margaret Ann “Maggie” Jones, 86, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, in Queensbury, New York. Formally of Endwell/Endicott, NY and Friendsville, PA, Maggie spent the last year under great care from Dan and Dara, her son and daughter-in-law. She wanted to pass away at home and be with her family. Maggie's happiest times were when she was with family, and she was the matriarch, keeping them all together. The annual family reunion at her and Cheech's house, along with holidays, were very important to her. At Christmas, you never knew which family member was going to get her annual gag gift. She had a great laugh, and her family gave her pure joy. Maggie raised 3 boys on her own and was very caring and understanding. She retired from Blanding Electric after many years, around 2002. Maggie was a huge sports fan, her favorites were basketball, football and baseball, she was always up to watching a game.
She was born April 28, 1940 in Friendsville, PA, to her parents Ambrose and Rita Flynn, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by James Blanchard; father of 3 boys, at age 29 Oliver Jones; and her significant other of 40 years, Tom Silvestri; son, Dean Blanchard; brother, John Flynn; BIL and SIL, Jan and Phyllis Blanchard,
