QUEENSBURY --- Margaret "Peggy" Linda LaFond, 78, most recently a resident of The Landing in Queensbury, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness.

Born October 10, 1939 in Johnsburg, she was the daughter of Charles and Lauretta (Cross) Reynolds.

Peggy graduated from Warrensburg Central School.

On April 6, 1963, she married Marcel L. LaFond in Warrensburg.

After many years of dedicated service, Peggy retired from Warren County as Deputy County Clerk.

Some of her enjoyments included reading, flower arranging, and trips to the Saratoga Racino.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Marcel LaFond; an infant daughter, Mary Margaret Cecilia LaFond; two sisters, Sheila Gillingham and Joan Cameron; and a brother, Matt Reynolds.

Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Mark L. (Kathy "Kate") LaFond, and Denise M. (C. Shawn) Lamouree; four grandchildren, Matthew LaFond, and Gabrielle, Garrett, and Grant Lamouree; a brother, Leo (Joan) Reynolds; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her grand-dog, Dudley.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, May 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Anselment officiating.

Interment will be private at Garnet Lake Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the caregivers at The Landing / Brookdale, and also to the nursing staff at Glens Falls Hospital Tower 3.
