Obituary

FREDERICK, MD -- Our much beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Margaret Fox Miller, died peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2017 at the age of 88 in Frederick, Maryland.

Born on August 16, 1928 in Wallkill, New York, she was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Doris (Westerman) Fox of Wallkill, New York, her late husband of 62 years, Dr. Richard (Dick) Eugene Miller, and their daughter, Robin Michelle Miller and son, Timothy Marland Miller.

Margaret (known to friends and family as Peggy, and later as Meg) led an adventurous life keeping up with her brothers on the family farm where she grew up, and later, throughout her marriage. She supported her husband with starting up a couple of veterinarian clinics and raised seven children. Both Meg and Dick enjoyed their travels and moves around the country with their large and loving family.

She loved playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and entertaining friends and family at home.

Margaret is survived by her brother, Arthur Clare Fox and twin brother, Robert Westerman Fox; sons, Richard Keith Miller and Jeffrey Michael Miller; daughters, Jacquelyn Miller Lumsden, Stacey Miller Eicks, and Tracey Miller Emmerson; five granddaughters, Lindsay Miller, Elizabeth Eicks Ruchte, Margaret Eicks, Elaine Vasey, and Sabrina Miller-Deavers; and four grandsons, Matthew Miller, Zachary Lumsden, John Vasey and Dale Vasey.

Margaret will be missed by all of those whom she touched and who loved her dearly.

Calling hours will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 10 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Barclay officiating.

Interment will take place at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury following the services.
