QUENSBURY --- Marian E. Curran, formally of Queensbury, passed away Monday July 11, 2016 at Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward at age 93.
Born in Peru, N.Y. on June 7, 1923 she was the third of four children of Charles and Mary (Gebo) Jarvis.
She graduated from Keeseville Central School in 1942 and The Champlain Valley School of Nursing class of 1946.
During her career as a Registered Nurse, Marian worked at Glens Falls Hospital, Physician's Hospital in Plattsburgh, and Emma Laing Stevens Hospital in Granville, N.Y.
Marian and Jack enjoyed their retirement traveling and passing time at their Jersey shore house. She always said she would do it all over again and wouldn't change a thing.
In addition to her parents, Marian was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Jack Curran, and a brother Charles Jarvis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, John Curran and his spouse, Rosann, of Queensbury; her beloved granddaughter, Jamie Leigh of Honolulu, Hawaii; siblings, Ralph Jarvis and Dorothy Chauvin, both of Plattsburgh; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place Thursday, July 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation with the Rev. Ken Swain, pastor of Holy Mother and Child Parish in Corinth, officiating.
Interment, next to her husband, will follow at Pine View Cemetery.
