Obituary

HUDSON FALLS --- Marie Elizabeth (Bunker) Flores, 76, of Hudson Falls, left this world for a place without pain Saturday, March 16, 2013, from Glens Falls Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1936 in the town of Argyle, she was the daughter of the late Dortha M. (Walker) Bunker and Seth L. Bunker, and stepdaughter of Octave M. Bunker.
After graduating from Ft. Edward High School in 1955, she was employed by the Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. for several years. Upon leaving the bank, she dedicated 30 years of service as a program coordinator for the USDA Washington County Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service.
On Sunday, May 20, 1956, Marie became Mrs. Joseph J. Flores in the St. Joseph's Church in Ft. Edward. She was a loving, generous, kind, hardworking woman. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and reading. Most of all, she loved her family.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Geraldine M. Fish, stepsister, Shirley White, stepbrother, Elmer Bunker, bother-in-law, Jamon Kermit Baker Sr., nephew, Jamon "Jamie" Baker Jr., and stepniece, Christine Brown.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 56 years, Joe Flores of Hudson Falls; son, Octave P. Flores (Patti) of Gansevoort; sister, Mabel M. Baker of Gansevoort; brother, Seth G. Bunker (Maryann) of Amsterdam; stepsister-in-law, Doris Bunker of Athol; brother-in-law, Gordon Fish of Ft. Edward; also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, who fondly referred to her as "Aunt Re" and several other relatives and friends.
At Marie's request, there will be no calling hours and the funeral service will be private at the convenience of her family.
Interment will also be private at Warrensburg Cemetery, Hudson St., Warrensburg, N.Y.
Marie's family would like to thank the Glens Falls Hospital staff for the compassion, love, and care given so completely not only to Marie, but to her family. The acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
