CASTLETON --- Marie G. "Mike" Pincher, age 89, of Castleton went to live with the Lord on January 22, 2013. She was born on October 29, 1923 in Castleton, NY daughter of the late Anna C. (Lammerts) and William A. Grooten. Marie worked for many years as an X-ray technician in Albany, NY. She was a lifelong member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church and past president of the disbanded American Legion Post #738 Auxiliary. She was also past president of the Capital District Society of X-Ray Technologists. Marie also had the honor of being elected President of the New York State Society of X-Ray Technologists in 1952. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of 36 years, Philip T. Pincher and by a brother, Sgt. William A. Grooten, Jr., U.S.M.C. She is also survived by many cousins and by her beloved church family. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Road in Castleton, NY from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow, 2 PM at the church. The Rev. Rodger Krutz will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Castleton.
