SCHROON LAKE- Marion (Howe) Bessette, 82, of Schroon Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 14,2017 at the Adirondack Tri County Nursing Home in North Creek.

Born May 31, 1935 in Olmstedville, N.Y. she was the oldest daughter of 10 children born to Smith and Helen Howe.

She graduated from Minerva Central School in 1953.

In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Bessette and son, Kevin Bessette all of Schroon Lake and a sister, Carol Kimball from Whitehall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Hayes of Brant Lake and son, Clark (Brandi) Bessette of Thurman and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and their families.

Marion lived and worked for many years in the Schroon Lake area where she was a member of the Ladies Fire Auxillary. She loved her family and enjoyed the time that they were able to spend together. She enjoyed nothing more than planning and giving a Birthday or an Anniversary party for family and friends. Marion always looked forward to her family and neighbors stopping by to have a cup of tea or coffee and chat. She loved to shop and travel; including going on countless bus tours over the years.

At Marion's request there will be no public services.
