BOLTON LANDING --- Marion E. Russell, 82, of Bolton Landing, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday December 31, 2017, after a long illness.

Born April 7, 1935, in Diamond Point, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Vida C. (Tubbs) Monroe.

She attended Warrensburg Central School, and on November 24, 1951, she married Wyman L. Russell before moving to Bolton Landing to start a family.

When not working outside the home or as a homemaker, she enjoyed flower gardening in her spare time. She also enjoyed watching the local wildlife, especially the numerous birds that visited the bird feeders in her garden.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Charles and Royal, and her sisters Elsie and Evelyn.

She is survived by her husband Wyman of 66 years, her five children, Valerie, Ellen, Thomas, Bradford, and Andrew, a brother, seven sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the nurses at Warren County Home Care and the staff at the Bolton Health Center, for their care of Marion.

At the family's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Lake George.
