QUEENSBURY--- Martha Tauscher, 89, of Queensbury, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.
Born March 18, 1924 in Gossmannsdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Gottlob and Augusta Barthel) Markfelder.
In 1928, Martha immigrated with her family to New York.
She was an ace bookkeeper, had an incredible green thumb, and her cooking magic was well loved.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Walker, son-in-law, Mark, and her grandchildren, Chris and Kerry, all of Queensbury, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Her family extends a sincere thank you to her friends and all her caregivers especially Lou and Patty, and all who always put joy in her days at Fort Hudson.
Upon her request, there will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Family Church, followed by burial at Mount St. Mary in Flushing, Queens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Martha's name, can be made to the charity of one's choice.
