Glens Falls--- Mary R. Baker, 90, of Second St., passed away peacefully Saturday, February 17, 2018 in her sleep. In October, the family helped her celebrate her 90 ^th birthday.

Born October 9, 1927 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Bernard H. and Dora V. (Cornell) Baker.

She was employed at U.S. Catheter, now known as C. R. Bard, for 40 years, before her retirement in 1992.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by three brothers, Hubert, Francis, and Charles Baker of Glens Falls; and one sister, Beatrice Brummagyn of South Glens Falls.

Those left to cherish her memory are one brother, Bernard O. (Darlene) Baker of Glens Falls; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

In her younger years, Mary enjoyed the Baker family camp on Lake Sacandaga, where they spent many summers and weekends making memories. She enjoyed annual and perennial flower gardening around the home.

Calling hours will take place Friday, February 23 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.

A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Flossie Bates officiating.

A graveside service will take place in the spring at Bay Street Cemetery in Glens Falls.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the OB/GYN staff nurses at Albany Medical, the staff at Glens Falls Hospital in Towers 2 and 6, the staff at The Pines Nursing Home, and Dr. Hoy and Eileen Spinelli for the wonderful care they all gave her.
