GRANVILLE --- Mary Belden, 83, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Glens Falls Hospital from Covid.
Born November 17, 1937 in Poultney, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Katherine (Shepard) Shaw.
Mary and her husband Milfred Belden had been married for 52 years before her passing.
She always loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Mary loved to always talk on the phone and play games. She was a very outgoing lady.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Rose Gordon, brothers, Lawrence (Dec. 2017), Gilbert (May 2012), Donald, and Herbert; and her sisters, Dorothy, Kathleen, and Katherine.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Milfred Belden; her children, Clifford Jones, Robert Jones, and Tina Jones; grandchildren, Melinda Gallipo, Robin Castillo, Nicole Woodruff, Savannah Jones, Amanda Jones, Maryssa Jones, and Miranda Jones, Vivian and Jessica Jones; great-grandchildren, Aliviah Gallipo, Landen Gallipo, Gabriella Perez, Ivy Gordon, Marnie Castillo, Melfena Baker, Alexis Baker, and Cheyenne Baker; sister, Shirley Havens; brother, Robert Shaw; sister-in-law, Nancy Shaw, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A gathering is planned to be held in the summer when Covid might end.
A Memorial Service and Burial will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Granville Center nurse Jennifer Cobart "for all the care and love you've given to my grandmother in 7 years", to Glens Falls Hospital Covid Nurse Christian "for giving my grandmother the best care before she passed, to Glens Falls Hospital Renal Center dialysis nurses "for always taking such good care of grandma for the past 12-15 years."
In loving memory of Mary contributions may be made to Mary's granddaughter Melinda Gallipo to help with Mary's final expenses.
