QUEENSBURY --- Mary "Marcy" Marcelia (Dutcher) Dark, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Marcy was born on January 31, 1950 in Granville, NY.

Marcy was a 1967 graduate of Granville high school and a 1969 graduate of SUNY Cobleskill.

She married the love of her life, Jeffrey Dark, on May 20th, 1972.

Marcy worked for Continental Insurance and Shelter Planning for many years. She also enjoyed being a docent for the Hyde Museum for 20 years. Marcy lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; she had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She had a passion for oil painting, sewing and crafts. She also took great pride in raising her children.

Marcy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jeffrey, her daughter, Kimberly and her partner David Skellie, and her son, Christopher and his fiancé Statia Darrah. Marcy also leaves behind her mother, Alice Dutcher; her sister, Wanda Sowizdrzal and her husband, David; and her brother, Henry Dutcher and his wife, Sandy. There are so many special people in Marcy's life that will forever miss her: Amanda Murphy, Brad Tyler, Ethan Dutcher, Elliott Dutcher, Cheryl Dark, Dave Skellie Jr., Nataleigh Darrah, and their families, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Marcy also leaves behind her special great-niece, Lily Murphy.

She is preceded by her father, Floyd Dutcher and Aunt Bev Juckett.

Services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service in honor of Marcy will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage-Bates officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent in Marcy's name to Cindy's Retreat Fund - Oncology Support c/o CR Wood Cancer Center, 100 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
