QUEENSBURY --- It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary E. Jacox, 88 on to eternal life, Friday, October 18th, 2024, at her home with family by her side.

She was born on September 25, 1936, in Watertown, N.Y. to Martha (Wetterhan) and Wesley D. Timerman. She grew up on her parents' farm with her two siblings.

Mary attended Brownville Central School and graduated from Watertown High School. Following graduation, she enrolled in the RN Nursing program at House of the Good Samaritan in Watertown. After graduation from nursing school, she married her high school sweetheart and loving husband Chuck "Charlie" on August 24, 1957, at Asbury Methodist Church in Watertown. They moved to Canton, N.Y. where he finished his college and she worked as an RN at the Edward John Noble Hospital.

After his graduation they moved to Glens Falls, where they raised their family while Mary worked at Glens Falls Hospital in various departments for 40 years. Many of those years were in Intravenous Therapy. After retirement she and her husband spent winters in their home in Lakeland, Florida, for about 18 years, becoming snowbirds. They most recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. Many friendships were made over the years. They very much enjoyed dancing both in N.Y. and Florida. They also looked forward to many summer vacations with family in Maine.

Mary looked forward to family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Attending all the sports events that she could go to for her grandchildren was a special joy for her.

Mary was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Susan Marie; and sisters, Shirley (Gerald) Tucker and Evelyn (William) Lennon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chuck Jacox; son, Michael Jacox; daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Stewart and Marcia "Marty" Caldwell (Joe Ricciardelli); grandchildren, Chris Jacox, Tara (Cullen) Fuller, Tim Jacox, Jason, Jenna, and Jonathan Stewart, Brandie (Brandon) Barr, Nathan Caldwell, and Anthony Ricciardelli; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Cameron, and Maiyah Barr; a former son-in-law, Jim Caldwell; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends, including Gayle (Gary) Pronto and a special neighbor, Chris Jackson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26, at 1 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist, 54 Bay St., Glens Falls with the Rev. Rich Weihing, Rev. Kim Reed and Rev. David Lockwood officiating.  A reception for friends and family will follow at the church.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to High Peaks Hospice, Christ Church United Methodist family, as well as friends and family who reached out with many prayers, nourishment, cards, and so much love during this faithful journey. God bless you all.
