QUEENSBURY – Mary Gloria Palamar, 98, of Willowbrook Road, Queensbury, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at The Home of the Good Shepherd, South Glens Falls, after a brief illness.
Born February 20, 1916, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph Rossi and Lena Santori.
After completing her high school diploma, Mary worked at Howmedica in East Rutherford, N.J. as a designer for prosthetics.
Mary enjoyed being around her friends and family. One of her many hobbies was antiquing. She was also a communicant at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Warrensburg.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her latest husband, John Palamar, her former husband, Adelbert Packard, and her son, Alan Packard.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Packard and his wife, Karen; her daughter-in-law Grace Packard; four grandchildren Lisa Bundrick, Joseph Packard, Breeana Gillette, and Michele Schippers; six great-grandchildren are Kate Bundrick, Mia Gillette, Maddox Gillette, Clayton Bishop, Corbin Bishop, and Steven Kliemisch; and a great great-grandson Tanner Kliemisch.
Calling hours will be held Monday, August 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with The Sacramental Minister, Rev. Paul Cox of St. Cecilia's Church of Warrensburg, officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury.
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations, in loving memory of Mary, be sent to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
