GLENS FALLS --- Mary B. Waghorn, 65, of Glens Falls, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Indian River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granville following a long illness.
Born Sept. 15, 1947 in West Hartford, Conn., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Mahoney) Mullaney.
Mary graduated from Bethel High School in Conn. before moving to the Glens Falls area, where she resided for over 33 years.
On March 21, 1970 she married Gerald Waghorn in Greenfield Center.
Some of her enjoyments were crossword puzzles, driving anywhere she could, and shopping. She had a great affection for all animals, especially unicorns.
Mary worked at various locations in the area, including Saratoga Hospital, General Electric in Schenectady as a keypunch operator, and also Winfield's Designs in Glens Falls.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Gerald Waghorn of Glens Falls, as well as several in-laws.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Deacon William Bazinet officiating.
Burial will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
